上京（じょうきょう）moving to capital city. Add する at the end to become a verb. Can easily remember this word by taking じょう form 上手 and きょう from 東京 (another word with the same reading is 状況 - situation)
時間がかかる（じかんがかかる）to take time. Want to point this out since it's not (more intuitively from English way of thinking) 時間をかかる.
To say 'different from something', add と違う at the end.
塾（じゅく）cram school. It's probably the same as 予備校（よびこう）- prep school.
